Kim is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York and she obtained her Master's of Education from St. John's University. In addition to working in private practice, Kim also has experience working in a clinic-based setting providing care to the community. She has experience working with a wide array of individuals presenting with a variety of mental health concerns, such as trauma-related disorders, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, low self-esteem, burn out, family conflict, and more. Kim also has experience working with individuals exploring their gender and sexual identities. Kim utilizes a psychodynamic, trauma-informed approach, with the use of various evidenced-based interventions, such as cognitive-behavorial techniques, to meet the unique needs of each client.
